About Jessica, CCC, RCC.

Firstly, I am so grateful for you being here. I know counselling can sometimes feel overwhelming and even downright daunting, and the first step is usually the biggest.

I am a lover of being outside, and a bonus if it is anywhere near water. I am an avid dog petter and cat snuggler; please say hi to your pets for me if you have any. I love to travel, to explore, and I love being a mom to my daughter.

Life has taken me in many different directions, some joyous and beautiful, and some dark and challenging. I believe that life is both beautiful and brutal, as I have experienced both.

I believe that as humans we have a deep and inherent capacity to heal, love, and thrive, and sometimes our histories and life circumstances can challenge this capacity. I want to meet you where you are at and give you the space to explore, question, learn, and heal through your experiences.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity, and truth, I honour and acknowledge my exploration and work as an uninvited guest that takes place on the Moh’kinsstis and the traditional Treaty 7 territory. I acknowledge and respect the oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. I acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
